Health and fitness became an important part of Nate's life in March 2012, which began the four years he served as an infantry rifleman/radio operator in the United States Marines Corps.
In August 2019, he earned his Associate's Degree from the physical therapist assistant program at Southern Illinois University. He is currently working towards a degree in Exercise Science at Southern Illinois University to be completed in May 2020.
During his time in Southern Illinois, Nate has been actively involved with Team Red White & Blue. He has also helped orchestrate workout and fitness-based community activities and events for veterans in the Southern Illinois area.
As someone who is passionate about fitness, Nate tries to bring his exercise science and physical therapy knowledge into the gym when working with our members. He emphasizes the importance of proper mechanics and technique to ensure the safety and longevity of those he works with. He is proud to have worked alongside coaches and medical staff of the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team, assisting with strength and conditioning. Nate also worked as a trainer for Southern Illinois University Rec Center for four years.
In additional to being a CrossFit coach, Nate is currently a personal trainer at multiple gyms in the Southern Illinois area. He works with diverse clientele, high school students working on strength and conditioning, college students looking to improve their health and wellness and seniors looking to improve their mobility, range of motion and overall health level.
